| Fiber Fence |
|
| FIBER FENCE - The first layer of defense |
|
In the event of an intrusion, the Fiber Fence 3000 Perimeter Monitoring System activates
alarms and shows the location of the breach on an on-screen facilities map. The system
combines advanced optical technology with simple mechanical devices, called Mouse Trips to
achieve performance and reliability superior to other monitoring systems.
How it operates - A laser within the Central Control Unit injects light into the glass core of the
fiber optic sensing cable that surrounds the perimeter. A would-be intruder who cuts or tugs the
cable, or causes movement to the fence by climbing, will trigger the nearest Mouse Trip sensor.
Once triggered the Mouse Trip reduces the flow of light through the cable, which is detected by
the system's CCU. |
 |
| |
| Applications |
The Fiber Fence 3000 is ideal for large perimeters. It has been installed to protect military
facilities, nuclear power facilities, factories, storage yards, chemical plants and hazardous
waste facilities. |
| |
| Features |
* Exceptional Range - Single unit monitors 10 miles and units can be cascaded for
extended range
* Low Cost - Instals easily on existing fencing without the need for electricity along the
fence line.
* Flexible Installation - The fiber optic cable attaches to your fencing and confirms to the
size and shape of your perimeter
* Fast and Accurate - Detects an intrusion within seconds of the event and identifies the
location of the intrusion within a few feet
* Fail-Safe Technology - Fiber optic sensing cable cannot be cut or bypassed without
detection
* No EMI Downtime - Non-conductive sensing cable is not subject to electromagnetic
interference (EMI), such as that produced by lightning storms, high voltage electrical
cable and microwave and radio transmissions
* Safe for All Environments - The all-weather cable withstands extreme temperature and
weather conditions. Mouse Trips can be adjusted to virtually eliminate nuisance alarms
caused by environmental factors |

| Fiber Mouse Trip ® |
 |
Mouse Trips ® increase the overall sensitivity of Fiber Fence systems. Installed at intervals
around a perimeter, Mouse Trips detect movement of the sensing fiber or disturbance of the
fence to which it is attached. When used in conjunction with the Fiber Fence 3000 system, the
exact location of a triggered Mouse Trip is shown on an on-screen map of te facility. Mouse
Trips install easily on existing fencing or walls and can be adjusted to virtually eliminate
nuisance alarms. The NEW quick reset version provides users the ability to reset Mouse Trip
without removing the cover. |

| Gate Gard™ |
 |
The Gate Gard™ mechanism protects gateways and other openings from unauthorized
access. It uses the existing fiber with the Fiber Fence™ System, so no additional power is
required. Gate Gard includes an arm/unarm feature that allows only authorized personnel to
enter/exit without triggering the alarm. Gate Gard allows deactivation of an individual gate
while sensors and alarms remain active for the remainder of the perimeter. |

| Sensing Cable for Fiber Fence ® |
 |
Designed to signal attenuation (decrease in energy transmission due to loss of light) from an
intrusion or other unusual event, our fiber optic dielectric sensing cable is engineered
specifically for Fiber Fence® Security Systems. The unique jacket is constructed of formulated
PVC and is UV-resistant. It is also water resistant and waterproof, making it capable of
withstanding elements such as ice, snow and heavy winds. It is corrosion resistant, enhancing
its ability to endure over time. Recommended to be used with double headed zip ties. |

| Cover Cop™ |
 |
The Cover Cop™ system ensures that only authorized personnel have access to
telecommunications equipment and other vital utilities. Cover Cop Sensors signal an alert
whenever a manhole cover or utility panel is opened, revealing to security personnel the exact
location of the open cover. Dozens of manholes can be monitored with a single Cover Cop
system. Cover Cop sensors do not use electricity, so they can't spark an explosion in
underground utilities where volatile gases may be present. Used in conjunction with Fiber
Fence 50 or 3000 Control Unit. |
